Second part to Ruby-Rae Now Available

So I've finally finished the second part to the Ruby-Rae series. It is a few days late, but I've made it. I hope you enjoy it. Don't worry, the next one won't take this long as I'm only focusing on this story for now.

Ruby-Rae is an interesting character. She will soon learn how valuable she is to those who hunt her down. Jacob is her hero. If it wasn't for him, she would've died. It's nice to have someone who has your back, it reminds you that you're not alone in this life. There is still quite a bit to tell and the exciting part is that I don't even know what's going to happen next. The story guides me, it has a life of it's own, I find that really exciting!

You can get this story on Amazon

Amazon US
Amazon UK

Jacob has finally come to Ruby-Rae’s rescue, but what will happen to Henry and the deal his parents made with Ruby-Rae. What Ruby-Rae doesn’t know is that other people are after her too. It’s only after Jacob commits to keeping her safe does he find out why.

The new love of her life has come at the right time, probably the best time because Ruby-Rae is in more danger than she will ever know.

Other News

Well I was doing dry January and by day ten I gave in and had a drink!! Oh no! The truth is I don't feel guilty at all. I feel there's no point and it serves no purpose. Will I try again? Not sure, but for now I'm just living one day at a time.

I hope your year has started out great and will continue to be a great year! That's all for now.

Dry January and other news

So I've committed myself to having a dry January. I'm a bit late to the party because it's only been three days! But three days no booze for me is a big deal. It was getting to the point I was polishing a bottle of Merlot a day!!! Not cool. To be honest I didn't want to stop drinking, but I discovered that it was becoming a terrible habit so I've decided to go thirty days without drinking.

I can't count the first three days because I drank half glass on the second of Jan and three glasses on the third of Jan, but on the fourth day I was fed up of this routine so I got up and promised I would go thirty days without any kind of alcohol.

On New Years eve I had one hell of a night. I had actually told myself that I wanted to get really pissed! I did and paid the price for that night. It was enjoyable, but by the end of it I didn't enjoy the hangover.

This is me early hours of New years day!!!

I felt awful! And though I can't promise I will never do this again because I know what I'm like when I go out to party, I do want to stay away from the booze this January. So far it's been great.

Day One

Felt really motivated and kept drinking blackcurrant with seven up, as well as a few cups of tea. That evening I slept really well.

Day Two

Waking up felt awesome. No headache, not feeling moody and while I walked my dog early that morning I had so much energy. It felt awesome.

Day Three

This is the day I pat my self on the back. Although it isn't a big deal to some people, it's huge for me. I feel pretty great. The night before I was watching Cougar Town with my Bae and every time the cast drink, I kept wanting a drink, but I didn't do it! So that was great!

What these three sober days have taught me?

Well I'm doing a lot more work. I'm ahead of my university work. I have a lot more energy and I'm writing a lot more than when I'm drinking. Drinking makes me drowsy and all I want to do at the end of the day is sleep.  So the effects have been pretty positive. I want to stay the course. Watch this space.

So will I drink again? Yes. I'm not planning to quit for good, but I do want to change my relationship with alcohol. I want to drink it and enjoy it, but not drink every day. Everything in moderation, as the saying goes!

And other news...

Well I'm working on the second part to the Ruby-Rae, Assassin series. I'm enjoying that. It will be available next week. So keep your eyes peeled.  I will be sticking with this story until it's finished. I don't want to drag this one. So you won't be waiting too long.

Besides writing I will be out Saturday morning at a coffee morning. I am a bereavement supporter for those who have lost loved ones to terminal illness. This will be my first coffee morning so I am looking forward to it.

That's all the news I have for now, I wish you all the best for 2017!

stay blessed

What Happens Now (The Gift book 3)

So I've finally finished the Gift Series after a few requests. It has taken me so long because I wasn't sure how the story would unfold, and I had so many other story ideas that I wanted to explore. I have now done it and I'm happy with the end result. Will there be more story? I don't know, but anything is possible.

This book is now available Amazon

Anthony is struggling with issues of his own. He seems confused. He’s falling for Monica, but his urges for Mathew don’t magically disappear. Monica is learning to live without Joe, and at the same time learning to allow Anthony into her life. What she doesn’t know is that Anthony has issues of his own.

As the couple try to find their way through without Joe, Monica has to decide how she wants to move forward. Will she move forward with Anthony, the way Joe had planned it, or will she find love somewhere else?

Hope you enjoy this story.

My paperback is now available to purchase at Amazon. A Different Kind of Love can now be yours in paperback. I've ordered one myself and love the feel of having a book in my hands feels different from an book.

It's will be nine months since I met him. I think next time I should tell the story of our meeting. Tinder, is the only thing I'll give you. The thing is you just never know when you're going to meet someone.

Anyway I really do hope you have an amazing Christmas and a fab 2017. I hope that all your dreams come true and life is good for you.

Paperback news, New story and everything in between!

Almost there!!! I could scream. This afternoon when UPS dropped off my proof I felt like a little girl waiting to open her Christmas present.  Just having it in my hands feels awesome. I look back now on my little girl dreams and realise just how many of them have come true. I also realised that sometimes there are so many naysayers, and sometimes we give up before we achieve the things we want to. The number of times I was told I couldn't do this, or this wasn't a real job...blah...blah...blah. Yes people's advice is all fair and fine, and sometimes done out of the goodness of their hearts. But it's really up to you to decide what you want to do with your life. There will those people who will be your cheerleaders. I have a few of them, and I'm grateful for them. I really am. I'm just happy that I finally have a book in print.

Here a few photos of me showing it off. I will announce when it's out.

This is the beginning of more turning into paperbacks, for those of you who prefer a paperback to an electronic copy, you have something to look forward to!

New Story

As promised I'm almost done with The Gift series. I had written two books and then had left it. After a few requests, I have finally written more of this story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it.

After this story, it's back to The Assassin. Lots will be unfolding in that series. Can't wait! I will keep you updated.

It's that time of year again and I hope you're almost ready for it. We've had our first real tree!

Love it and it smells a little like sawdust. The reason I say this is when we had our hamster, her saw dust smelt just like the tree haha. It reminds my daughter and I of the lovely little thing :-).

So this is the tree before my daughter did her magic with it!

And this is after!

I thinks she's done a pretty awesome job! Now I have to get down to wrapping the presents and writing cards. I'm always about to do them, but never really get round to doing it, but I will have to soon or else I'll be wrapping them on Christmas eve. It won't be the first time I do that!

I hope you're much better prepared than me! Keep your eyes out for the new book that will be out very soon!

Paperback and other updates!

In my last post I had promised pictures of my weekend, unfortunately I didn't get round to taking any. Boo! Anyway, I did have a good time and I'm glad I went. Tonight I'm off to a party and hopefully I will take pictures ;).

I'm really excited about my new paperback that is coming out soon. It's slowly coming together. Woohoo! The editing has been done, and now the cover is done! Have a look at this lovely cover done by John Harcourt.  Love it!  *Doing a victory dance*

I think being able to touch a real book with my words written in it is exciting. Something I once dreamed about and is now becoming a reality. A lot of thanks goes to my lovely boyfriend for helping me achieve this. I'm really grateful for his help getting me to this point. I'm beginning to think about the next one, haha. I think that my book 'Don't say you love me' should also go into paperback, but it's one step at a time I think. So keep your eyes peeled for my paperback!

Upcoming books

At the moment I'm working on a story I did a while ago, 'the gift' series. I've had a few messages about it and I've decided to buckle down and finish it for the people who want a conclusion on this story. I'm sorry for the delay, it will be out soon. That doesn't mean I've abandoned the latest story. I'm working on that too and know exactly where it's going. So these books will be coming out soon too.

Personal things

Party tonight, resting Sunday I hope. I've got some university work to do which I'm hoping to do Sunday afternoon. I've also been accepted to volunteer at the hospice as a bereavement support volunteer. I'm happy about that. As you will notice from some of my stories, I deal with difficult issues. I guess my heart is in trying to help others feel better, even if it's just to sit with them in silence.

Thank you to everyone who read my blog! I've had 36,182 visitors! At least I'm not a lone voice in the wilderness! So thank you, sincerely!

I hope you all have a good weekend!  Stay blessed!

The Assassin Book 1

So I have a new story out. If you liked the London and Victor series, you might like this one. I have no idea where it's going but I am excited about it. If you haven't already read Loving You, it's now available on kindle unlimited for a while. I hope you will enjoy this story and look forward to the next instalment.

Tall, sexy, rich and everything in between. Jacob is the sexiest man Ruby-Rae has ever set eyes on. There’s just one problem, she’s married and will not break her vows for this man. But Jacob is not just any man, he’s an assassin, a man who gets what he wants and that includes Ruby-Rae. The mores Ruby-Rae resists, the more he persists. The thing he doesn’t know is that he might be doing her a great big favour.

Ruby-Rae has secrets of her own. Perhaps Jacob is just what she needs, to find the freedom she truly seeks.

Available at Amazon

Jacob had seen her leave, and was quickly behind her. He told Donald to wait in the bar while he spoke to the woman of his dreams.

She reached the car, but before she could even open the door, his hand was on the door prohibiting her from opening it.

‘What the hell…’

He turned her around and pressed his lips against hers. Ruby-Rae could’ve easily resisted, but his touch weakened her in a second. He put his hand behind her head and brought her closer into him. Once she realised what was happening she pulled away.

‘Stop it!’ She breathed heavily.

‘Is that what you really want?’ he searched her eyes. The lighting in the parking, although dim, was enough for him to see her eyes. ‘The way I see it, you want me to keep touching you.’ He ran his hand up her thigh, weakening her further.

That was true. She liked his touch, and it made her feel a little ashamed, but it was hard to resist the man in front of her. He was just unbelievably sexy. This had never happened to her before. He drew closer and she could feel his warm breath against her lips. His dark hair fell to the front of his face and that just made it impossible for her to reason.

‘I can’t do this,’ she used all her strength to resist him.

He pressed his lips against hers again, she shut her eyes and surrendered to the stranger’s touch for a moment. But as soon as that happened, she came to her senses and pushed him away.

‘Stop it,’ she said breathing heavily.

He smiled and ran his hand down the side of her cheek. ‘I will see you soon.’ He stepped back.

Weekend Tings!

It's getting really cold at the moment and all you really want to do is stay in bed, but what kind of life would that be. So I'll be off to Manchester tomorrow. In the afternoon I will be watching rugby with my boo. Eng vs SA, it's going to be interesting. Later we'll go to the Christmas market. Looking forward to that, and hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures and share them with you. The coming week I will be busy with the second part to this series and it will be out very soon.  I will also be visiting colleges with my daughter. Time has flown by, it's both scary and exciting at the same time. That's it for now.

Happy reading!

Weekend, Updates and everything in between!

I had promised to be on top of my blog, so here it is. Hopefully I can give another jam packed week ahead. Well probably not. Anyway I was in the middle of writing another story when something hit me. I haven't heard this quote for a while, but it became appropriate for the character I'm writing for at the moment. It's the quote from Grey's Anatomy.

Read for yourself!

This kind of sums it up!  My character in my new story seems to be beating herself into what others want, but what about her? What about what she needs? Her needs are not invalid, they matter and she shouldn't feel bad for asking for what she needs. The evening I heard this quote I was watching Grey's and just living in my own bubble, until that quote. I was in a situation myself at the time and it suddenly dawned on me that it wasn't up to the person I was dating to make the change, it was up to me. I realised that he couldn't give me what I NEEDED, and no amount of pleading would make him do it. It was then that I took action and walked away from a situation that no longer served me, because I realised that he wasn't the SUN. I WAS! It was a sad, but a freeing moment, a moment I hope my character will take when the time is right.

Hopefully, Ruby-Rae - that's her name - will meet someone who will choose her, because she is worth it!

What's happening this weekend?

For starters I've started on the red wine. See my works station!

So let's start with the most important thing! You guessed it, Forensics for Dummies (NOT). The wine of course. I feel like Olivia Pope after a long day when she takes a swig at her wine glass. I savour the taste a while, then feel that everything is A-okay.

As you can see there is quite a bit of junk on there, including nail polish, chocolate and my uni books. I'm studying a degree in Psychology. All of this so called junk is relevant, even the forty pence. I should remember to take it with me so I can pay for parking.

You must be wondering about the masks in the background. I will leave that to your imagination, teehee!

So after I've finished doing what I have to do for tomorrow's tutorial, I will make tea and then head out to my friends house for a chat. So I have to take it easy with the wine. I will however have more when I get back and have a little dance out. It's me alone at home tonight.

Tomorrow I'll be at University, and on Sunday I plan to take my dog for a long walk. I've even convinced my fifteen year old to come with me. But this will only happen if the weather is good and I can actually be bothered. Watch this space!

I hope you have a fab weekend! Keep your eyes peeled for my new release coming out soon! In the meantime you can dance it out like I will later tonight with a full glass of wine in my hand!

Keep being you!
